Following the success of their market-leading Z12, Browning has developed the new Xitan Z10 for 2014. Built on the Z12’s mandrel, the Z10’s core design is identical and it has all of the advanced features found on its more expensive partner. However, the sections have been constructed using a different mix of Nano-carbon. The result is a high-performance pole for anglers that want, or need, an extra degree of strength and durability in their top-end pole – or perhaps want a lower-cost Z12! Weight gain has been kept to a minimum while balance and stiffness is retained due to the innovative long-section design of the Revolution range poles.
The Z10 was thoroughly field tested for more than a year to ensure that the pole met the design criteria and was “up to the job” – it passed with flying colours and became a firm favourite with the testers. Like all Xitans, the Z10 does not need to be cut back therefore the 15m Std package provides a pole that is nearly as long as many “16m” poles after they’ve been cutback.
